- Oversee and manage the budgetary operations for various programs and initiatives within the U.S. Department of Labor.
- Create and maintain budgetary plans and forecasts for assigned programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Analyze and monitor financial data to identify trends and variances, and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Develop and implement budgetary policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
- Prepare and present budget reports and presentations to department leadership and external stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor a team of budget analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to develop and track budgetary goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal regulations and guidelines related to budget management.
- Identify and resolve any budget-related issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in budget analysis and proactively recommend improvements to departmental processes and procedures.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Budget Analysis And Management, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Financial Data And Make Strategic Recommendations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Departments And Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of Federal Budgeting Processes And Regulations, Including Experience With Government Budgeting Software And Systems.
