Job Description

The U.S. Department of Labor is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Physical Science Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for a variety of duties related to the physical sciences, including providing support and assistance to laboratory personnel and conducting laboratory experiments. The ideal candidate has a strong scientific background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience in a laboratory setting is preferred. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support and assistance to laboratory personnel in their work related to the physical sciences.
  2. Conduct laboratory experiments as directed.
  3. Maintain accurate records of all experiments and results.
  4. Monitor and analyze data collected during experiments.
  5. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during experiments.
  6. Document findings and present results to team members and other relevant stakeholders.
  7. Ensure laboratory safety standards are met.
  8. Ensure that laboratory equipment is functioning properly and is properly maintained.
  9. Participate in team meetings to review progress and discuss potential courses of action.
  10. Research and review scientific literature to remain up-to-date on the latest developments in the field.
