  • Oversee the enforcement of labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and fair treatment of workers
  • Develop and implement strategies for promoting compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Foster partnerships with stakeholders, including employers and employee organizations, to promote safe and fair working conditions
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Office of Field Operations team, including training and development opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in labor laws and regulations and make recommendations for adjustments to policies and procedures
  • Develop and manage budgets for the Office of Field Operations
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of enforcement activities and compliance data
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to address emerging labor issues and trends
  • Represent the U.S. Department of Labor and the Office of Field Operations in meetings, conferences, and other public events
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance and support to staff to ensure high-quality work and professional growth
  • Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Office of Field Operations and in all interactions with stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Managing Large-Scale Operations: The Director Of Office Of Field Operations Must Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Large-Scale Operations, Preferably In A Government Or Regulatory Agency Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As The Head Of The Office Of Field Operations, The Director Must Have Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Field Staff And Ensure The Smooth Operation Of The Department.

  • Knowledge Of Labor Laws And Regulations: The U.s. Department Of Labor Oversees Various Labor Laws And Regulations, And The Director Of Office Of Field Operations Must Have A Deep Understanding Of These Laws And Regulations To Effectively Enforce Them.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Director Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Various Stakeholders, Including Government Officials, Business Leaders, And The General Public. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For This Role.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Director Must Possess Strong Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities To Identify Potential Challenges And Develop Effective Solutions To Ensure The Efficient Functioning Of The Department. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Data, Make Informed Decisions, And Implement Effective Policies And Procedures.
