
Teacher - Special Education
The U.S. Department of Justice is seeking a dynamic and experienced Teacher – Special Education to join our team. This position will provide direct instruction to students with special needs, as well as provide guidance and support to students, parents, and faculty. The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate, creative, and dedicated educator with excellent organizational and communication skills.The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, or a related field, and a valid state teaching license. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience teaching special education courses, as well as a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of the special education field. The successful candidate must also be committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all students. Above all, the successful candidate should be a dedicated and motivated individual who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop effective lesson plans and instructions for students with special needs.
- Monitor progress of students with special needs and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible learning environment.
- Implement curriculum that meets the needs of students with special needs.
- Provide support to students, parents, and faculty regarding special education services.
- Monitor and assess student performance and progress in order to make necessary adjustments to lesson plans.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education.
- Keep up to date with current theories, strategies, and best practices in the special education field.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Participate in professional development activities to maintain and improve teaching skills.
