The U.S. Department of Justice is seeking an experienced and motivated School Guidance Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for providing counseling services to students in elementary, middle, and high school as they navigate their educational and professional journeys. You will be a source of emotional support, guidance, and advice to students and their families.To be successful in this role, you must have a Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field, as well as experience working in a school setting. The ideal candidate will be an organized and patient individual who is committed to helping members of the community reach their fullest potential. You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide counseling services to students in elementary, middle, and high school.
  2. Provide emotional support, guidance, and advice to students and their families.
  3. Develop counseling plans and strategies to help students reach their fullest potential.
  4. Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and their families.
  5. Facilitate group counseling sessions.
  6. Maintain records of student counseling sessions.
  7. Develop and deliver workshops and seminars to students and their families.
  8. Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  9. Participate in school activities and events.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in school counseling.
