Job Description

The U.S. Department of Justice is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Research Analyst to join our team and help drive our mission forward. This individual will be responsible for applying advanced quantitative techniques and methodologies to help solve complex operations research problems. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker who is able to evaluate data and make sound decisions, and can work well both independently and as part of a team.To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field. A Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred. Additionally, experience in the U.S. Department of Justice or a related agency is a plus. This position requires excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities: • Apply advanced quantitative techniques and methodologies to solve complex operations research problems. • Analyze data and make sound decisions. • Work both independently and as part of a team. • Develop creative solutions to complex problems. • Maintain excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the field of operations research. • Advise and consult with other departments in the U.S. Department of Justice on operations research issues. • Design, implement, and analyze operations research experiments. • Develop and maintain operations research models. • Evaluate operations research results and make recommendations.
