Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Correctional Treatment Specialist to join the U.S. Department of Justice team. This position requires a dedicated professional who is committed to helping incarcerated individuals become productive members of society. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in correctional treatment, as well as an understanding of criminal justice and rehabilitation processes. They must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with incarcerated individuals. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide correctional treatment services to incarcerated individuals in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice policies.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans for individual inmates.
  3. Monitor progress of inmates and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  4. Track and record data related to individual inmates.
  5. Facilitate group discussions and activities to help inmates develop positive skills.
  6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with inmates and staff.
  7. Research and recommend resources for inmates to help them become productive members of society.
  8. Provide guidance to inmates regarding their re-entry into society.
  9. Collaborate with other professionals to ensure inmates receive the best possible treatment.
  10. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in correctional treatment and rehabilitation processes.
