
Supervisory Accountant
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as Supervisory Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting-related activities are completed accurately and in compliance with established standards, policies, and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong background in financial accounting and reporting. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards, policies, and regulations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, and ensure they are followed.
- Monitor financial records, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure that all financial documents are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Supervise and evaluate staff performance, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor and analyze financial trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Stay current with developments in the accounting field and ensure that staff are informed of changes.
- Prepare and submit reports to government agencies, as required.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Related Field
Cpa Certification
Knowledge Of Accounting Principles And Practices
