Job Description

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Public Health Analyst (Policy) to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for providing research and technical assistance to the HHS policy staff, as well as working with stakeholder organizations, state and local governments, and other agencies to develop, implement, and evaluate public health policy and programs. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will also have experience in public health policy development, research, and evaluation. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who is looking to make a real difference in the world of public health.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide research and technical assistance to HHS policy staff on public health policy and programs.
  2. Work with stakeholder organizations, state and local governments, and other agencies in the development, implementation, and evaluation of public health policy and programs.
  3. Utilize strong analytical skills to identify and assess public health issues.
  4. Develop and deliver public health policy presentations and other reports.
  5. Monitor and evaluate public health policy initiatives.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate public health policy initiatives.
  7. Stay abreast of current and emerging public health issues.
  8. Identify and analyze data to inform public health policy decisions.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and other relevant agencies.
  10. Develop and manage public health research projects.
