  1. Greet and welcome patients, families, and visitors to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and provide them with a positive and supportive experience.
  2. Assist in the preparation of operating rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are present and in working order.
  3. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure proper setup and positioning of patients on the operating table.
  4. Anticipate and fulfill the needs of surgical teams during procedures, including passing instruments and supplies as requested.
  5. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of surgical procedures and equipment, and assist in troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.
  6. Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room, adhering to strict infection control protocols and following all safety procedures.
  7. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients before, during, and after surgeries.
  8. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring clear and accurate information is relayed.
  9. Document and maintain accurate records of patient care, including procedures performed, supplies used, and any complications or incidents that occur.
  10. Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
  11. Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
  13. Remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  14. Uphold the mission and values of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and promote a culture of excellence, compassion, and integrity.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Completion Of An Accredited Or Nursing Assistant Program

  • Current Certification As A Surgical Technologist (Cst) Or Certified Surgical Assistant (Csa)

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience As A Scrub Tech In A Hospital Or Surgical Setting

  • Knowledge Of Sterile Techniques, Surgical Procedures, And Medical Terminology.
