Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Nurse (Risk Manager Coordinator) to join the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing risk management activities throughout the organization. You will be a key resource in providing guidance and direction to the organization in the areas of patient safety, loss prevention, and risk mitigation.The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, along with at least five years of experience in a related nursing field. You must be able to think strategically and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be detailed-oriented and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve complex problems. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage risk management activities for the organization.
  2. Provide guidance and direction to the organization in the areas of patient safety, loss prevention, and risk mitigation.
  3. Think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  4. Communicate effectively with other health and medical professionals to ensure the safety and quality of care.
  5. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to risk management.
  6. Analyze data and trends to identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  7. Monitor and evaluate risk management activities and report findings to senior leadership.
  8. Stay up to date on healthcare regulations and industry trends.
  9. Conduct training sessions for staff on risk management topics.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
