
IT Cybersecurity Specialists
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking experienced and motivated cybersecurity professionals to join our team as IT Cybersecurity Specialists. In this challenging role, you will help protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of HHS information systems to ensure the safe and secure operation of the agency’s IT infrastructure. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze HHS information systems for security vulnerabilities and threats.
- Develop and implement appropriate security controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of HHS information systems.
- Respond to security incidents and investigate potential security breaches.
- Provide technical guidance and support to staff when needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-standard best practices, technologies, and trends in cybersecurity.
- Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate security policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure the secure operation of HHS IT infrastructure.
- Participate in training and awareness programs to educate staff on cyber security best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to security incidents, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science
Information Technology
Cybersecurity
Or Related Field
At Least Years Of Experience In It Security Systems And Networks
Expert Knowledge Of Encryption Technologies And Authentication Protocols
Experience Developing And Implementing Security Policies And Procedures
Ability To Analyze Network Traffic And Identify Potential Threats
Knowledge Of Security Tools
