Job Description

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is currently seeking an experienced and energetic Health Scientist (Program Evaluation) who is committed to making a difference in public health. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for making a positive impact on public health.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in health science, public health, or a related field• Five (5) years of experience in program evaluation, health science, or a related field• Demonstrated knowledge of health science research and evaluation• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and conduct program evaluations in the health sciences field.
  2. Develop and implement evaluation plans and strategies for the Department of Health and Human Services.
  3. Analyze and interpret research and evaluation data to inform decision-making processes.
  4. Prepare reports and presentations that convey findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  6. Monitor and review emerging trends in health science and evaluate their potential impact on program operations.
  7. Provide technical assistance to program staff to ensure program effectiveness.
  8. Participate in professional development and training activities to stay up-to-date on best practices in health science and evaluation.
  9. Coordinate with other departments and agencies to facilitate cross-program collaboration.
  10. Manage and track program budgets and resources.
