
Health Communications Specialist
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is searching for an experienced and highly motivated Health Communications Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies to inform and educate the public about the Department’s health initiatives and priorities. To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in public health communications, writing, and editing. The ideal candidate will also have exemplary interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse group of stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute effective communication strategies to inform and educate the public about the Department’s health initiatives and priorities.
- Write and edit communications materials, such as press releases, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
- Monitor news and media outlets for relevant health news and updates.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and timely delivery of health information to the public.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the field of public health communication.
- Develop and implement innovative public health engagement strategies.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of health communication initiatives.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to public inquiries related to health initiatives.
