
General Attorney Advisor
We are looking for a highly qualified individual to join the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a General Attorney Advisor. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework of the HHS, and be capable of providing legal counsel and assistance to the organization in a professional, ethical, and timely manner. The ideal candidate will be an analytical and detail-oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate should have a deep understanding of the laws and regulations that govern the HHS and be able to effectively advocate for the interests of the department. The successful candidate should possess a J.D. degree from an accredited law school, be admitted to the bar in good standing, and have at least two years’ experience practicing law. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory framework of the HHS and its implications on the organization.
- Provide legal counsel and assistance to the HHS in a professional, ethical, and timely manner.
- Analyze the laws and regulations that govern the HHS and advocate for the department’s interests.
- Prepare legal documents and reports as required.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding relevant legal matters.
- Monitor and respond to developments in the legal and regulatory environment of the HHS.
- Remain informed of changes in the laws and regulations that affect the HHS.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and workshops as necessary.
- Maintain ethical standards as outlined by the J.D. degree and applicable laws.
- Provide timely updates to the HHS leadership on legal matters.
