Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Epidemiologist to join the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services! As an Epidemiologist, you will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and analyzing the public health data related to infectious diseases. You will also be responsible for providing solutions to public health issues, and for developing and implementing disease prevention programs.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field, with at least five years of experience in public health, epidemiology, or a related field. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of public health principles, are essential. We are looking for someone who is motivated, organized, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor, evaluate, and analyze public health data related to infectious diseases.
  2. Develop and implement disease prevention programs.
  3. Provide solutions to public health issues.
  4. Build relationships with external stakeholders and collaborate with colleagues.
  5. Prepare reports and presentations based on epidemiological research findings.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  7. Identify potential areas of risk and develop strategies to reduce the spread of infectious diseases.
  8. Utilize data and statistical methods to analyze and interpret data.
  9. Design and conduct research studies to collect information related to public health and epidemiological trends.
  10. Educate and inform the public on disease prevention and control.
