Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the functioning of the Office of Human Research Protections and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  2. Develop and implement standards, policies, and procedures for the protection of human research participants.
  3. Monitor research activities and ensure compliance with established protocols and regulations.
  4. Analyze data and provide recommendations for improvement.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and other key partners.
  6. Prepare and present reports to a variety of audiences.
  7. Manage and coordinate the activities of the Office of Human Research Protections.
  8. Develop and maintain systems for monitoring and evaluating research activities.
  9. Respond to inquiries and complaints related to research activities.
  10. Provide guidance and support to research staff.
