Job Description

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Consumer Safety Officer. As a Consumer Safety Officer, you will be responsible for protecting the public from potential health risks caused by unsafe products, identifying and correcting violations of rules and regulations, and promoting product safety. This position requires excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. We are looking for a team player who is committed to the success of the organization and is passionate about promoting the safety of American consumers. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and investigate products to identify potential health risks and violations of rules and regulations.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to ensure product safety for consumers.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect and analyze information related to product safety.
  4. Proactively identify areas of improvement in safety practices and develop solutions to address them.
  5. Provide technical guidance and support to staff and other stakeholders on product safety issues.
  6. Develop and implement educational materials and campaigns to promote product safety and consumer awareness.
  7. Prepare and present reports to management on product safety related issues.
  8. Monitor current trends in product safety and recommend revisions to policies and regulations as needed.
  9. Remain up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations and advise management on changes that may affect compliance.
  10. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.

Compensation
