To be successful in this role, you must possess a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree and be licensed to practice audiology in the state where you will be working.   1. Conduct hearing evaluations and assessments for individuals with hearing loss and other auditory disorders.
  2. Develop personalized treatment plans and provide appropriate interventions, such as hearing aids or cochlear implants.
  3. Conduct follow-up appointments and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  4. Educate patients and their families on hearing loss, treatment options, and communication strategies.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech-language pathologists, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including evaluation results and treatment plans.
  7. Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology and incorporate new techniques and technology into practice.
  8. Adhere to ethical and professional standards, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
  9. Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to ensure quality of care and adherence to policies and procedures.
  10. Provide guidance and support to audiology assistants or other team members as needed.
  11. Serve as a resource for community outreach and education initiatives related to hearing health.
  12. Represent the Department of Health and Human Services in a professional and positive manner.
  13. Comply with all federal and state regulations and guidelines related to audiology practice.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the patient experience and outcomes.
  15. Uphold the mission, values, and goals of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Audiology From An Accredited University Or College.

  • State Licensure And Certification From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience In Audiology, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Current Audiology Techniques, Procedures, And Technologies.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Patients And Healthcare Professionals.
