- Develop and implement policies and programs for the sustainable management of the nation's fish and wildlife resources.
- Lead a team of professionals in the planning, coordination, and execution of conservation efforts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including state and federal agencies, non-profit organizations, and private landowners.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in the interpretation and implementation of laws, regulations, and policies related to fish and wildlife management.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation programs and initiatives, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial regulations.
- Conduct research and analysis on wildlife management issues and present findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Represent the department in meetings, conferences, and other events related to fish and wildlife management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to fish and wildlife management.
- Mentor and train staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in fish and wildlife management and conservation.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including the general public, to promote awareness and understanding of the department's conservation efforts.
- Handle any issues or concerns related to fish and wildlife management, including responding to public inquiries and resolving conflicts.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to develop and implement joint conservation initiatives and projects.
- Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as ethical and professional standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness in managing fish and wildlife resources.
- Prepare reports and presentations on the department's fish and wildlife conservation efforts for senior management and other stakeholders.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to staff to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.

Bachelor's Or Advanced Degree In Wildlife Management, Biology, Natural Resources, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Fish And Wildlife Management, Including At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Fish And Wildlife Conservation And Management.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience In Managing And Motivating A Diverse Team Of Professionals.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate And Communicate With Various Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Ngos, And The Public.
