Job Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Statistician to join our team. Our ideal candidate will bring a passion for data analysis and knowledge of statistical techniques to this dynamic role. The Statistician will be responsible for processing, analyzing, and interpreting data from a variety of sources to inform policy decisions. They will analyze and evaluate data to determine trends and develop recommendations for the public and private sectors.The successful candidate will possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. To be successful, the Statistician should have an advanced degree in Statistics or a related field, significant experience in data analysis and interpretation, and a comprehensive understanding of the principles of statistics. The ability to utilize various software applications to effectively analyze and interpret data is also essential.

  8. Develop and implement statistical models to accurately predict outcomes.
