  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for capacity building and external engagement initiatives to promote economic growth and global competitiveness.
  2. Serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of capacity building and external engagement, providing expert advice and guidance to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  3. Identify and cultivate partnerships with key external organizations and stakeholders to support the Department's goals and objectives.
  4. Lead and facilitate workshops, trainings, and other capacity building activities to strengthen the skills and knowledge of individuals and organizations.
  5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement policies and programs that foster economic growth and global competitiveness.
  6. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and best practices in capacity building and external engagement.
  7. Represent the Department at conferences, meetings, and other events to promote the agency's mission and initiatives.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with international organizations and foreign governments to support global economic development efforts.
  9. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of capacity building and external engagement initiatives, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  10. Stay current on industry developments and advancements in capacity building and external engagement to continuously improve and enhance the Department's programs and services.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Capacity Building: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Developing And Implementing Capacity Building Strategies In A Variety Of Settings. This Should Include Experience Working With Diverse Populations And Addressing Complex Challenges.

  • Strong Communication And External Engagement Skills: As A Senior Advisor, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Representing The Department Of Commerce In High-Level External Engagements. Therefore, The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Convey Complex Information To Diverse Audiences.

  • Knowledge Of International Trade And Economic Development: The U.s. Department Of Commerce Is Responsible For Promoting U.s. Trade And Economic Development Globally. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of International Trade Policies, Economic Development Strategies, And Current Global Economic Trends.

  • Leadership And Strategic Thinking: The Senior Advisor Will Be Expected To Provide Strategic Guidance And Leadership In Developing And Executing Capacity Building Programs. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading Teams And Implementing Innovative Strategies.
