Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Management and Program Analyst to join the U.S. Department of Commerce. This role requires a person who is organized, self-disciplined, and able to work independently. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape and implement the organization’s program objectives and initiatives. You will be responsible for carrying out complex research and analysis, preparing reports, and making recommendations to senior management.To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, public policy, or economics. In addition, you should possess strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will also have experience working in a government or public sector organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct complex research and analysis to support the organization's program objectives and initiatives.
  2. Prepare comprehensive reports based on research and analysis, and present findings to senior management.
  3. Make recommendations to senior management regarding program objectives and initiatives.
  4. Support the development and implementation of policy initiatives.
  5. Maintain current knowledge of government and public sector regulations and policies.
  6. Utilize various software systems to analyze and present data.
  7. Develop and maintain a database of program information.
  8. Monitor and evaluate program performance and provide ongoing updates to senior management.
  9. Create presentations and other materials to support program initiatives.
  10. Collaborate with other departments on program initiatives.
