Job Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce is looking for an experienced and organized IT Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our IT infrastructure and ensuring our systems are secure and up-to-date. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of information technology. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain the Department of Commerce's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
  2. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues and security threats.
  3. Proactively identify areas of improvement in the IT infrastructure and work with the team to develop solutions.
  4. Develop and implement security protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of the Department's IT systems.
  5. Provide technical support and advice to users in the organization.
  6. Research and evaluate new technologies that can improve the Department's IT systems.
  7. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of all IT operations and systems.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in information technology.
