Job Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce is seeking an International Programs Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a keen understanding of international programs and a passion for advancing international business development. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, International Relations, Political Science or a related field; a minimum of three years’ experience in international business development and/or international programs; and experience working with public and private sector stakeholders in the international arena. This role offers the opportunity to work on important initiatives that will support the mission of the Department of Commerce and promote economic growth and job creation across the United States. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with public and private sector stakeholders in the international arena.
  2. Monitor and assess international programs and initiatives.
  3. Analyze data and trends related to international business development.
  4. Develop and implement strategies for advancing international business development.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to develop and execute international initiatives.
  6. Prepare reports and presentations on international programs and activities.
  7. Provide support and guidance to other team members on international related matters.
  8. Identify and resolve issues related to international programs and initiatives.
  9. Monitor and assess international economic and political trends.
  10. Develop and maintain a network of contacts in the international business and diplomatic communities.
