
Facility Operations Specialist
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Facility Operations Specialist to join our team at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional who is looking to make an impact in a dynamic government agency setting. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of three years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance, have a working knowledge of building systems, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An associates degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility.
- Ensure the facility meets all safety, health, and regulatory standards.
- Manage all vendor relationships and contracts related to the facility.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs of the facility systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all facility operations and activities.
- Monitor the facility budget and ensure cost efficiencies.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for additional services or repairs.
- Develop and implement procedures and policies to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the facility.
- Respond to emergency requests and coordinate with emergency personnel as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to all visitors and staff.
