Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supervisory Research Biological Scientist to join the team at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Responsibilities:

  1. Create research initiatives and provide guidance to a team of research scientists.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Monitor and evaluate research progress, ensuring goals are met in a timely manner.
  4. Evaluate and assess laboratory techniques and procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
  5. Prepare and present reports, recommendations, and results of research activities.
  6. Maintain and update records of scientific studies and experiments.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure research goals are met.
  8. Oversee the budgeting and allocation of resources for research activities.
  9. Supervise and mentor junior research staff.
  10. Stay up-to-date on new developments in the field of biotechnology, genetics, and related life sciences.
