
Supervisory Land Surveyor
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supervisory Land Surveyor to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to use your expertise to oversee the day-to-day operations of our land survey operations while providing leadership and direction for survey staff. The ideal candidate must have an advanced degree in land surveying, a minimum of five years of professional land surveying experience, and a valid Professional Land Surveyor license in the state in which they will be working. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is able to work well independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the land survey team.
- Provide leadership and direction for survey staff.
- Ensure that all survey operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure that survey staff are well trained and knowledgeable in the use of surveying equipment and technology.
- Maintain up-to-date records of survey data and reports.
- Ensure accuracy of survey measurements and calculations.
- Monitor survey staff performance and provide feedback as needed.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the survey team.
- Liaise with other departments and external stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain a professional license in the state in which the survey operations are conducted.
