
Regional Forester
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is looking for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Regional Forester to join our team. This role requires a unique combination of leadership and knowledge in the field of forestry, natural resource management, and sustainability. The successful candidate should be able to think critically and creatively when it comes to managing complex natural resources and leading a team of professionals in the region.We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of forestry or natural resource management, with a minimum of five years of supervisory experience. An advanced degree in forestry or a related field, or equivalent experience is also preferred. The candidate should also possess the ability to manage staff, budgets, and resources in a dynamic and diverse environment, and should have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.The Regional Forester will be responsible for providing support to our USDA Forest Service staff in the region, and for developing and implementing strategies to manage and sustain natural resources in a manner that benefits the environment, society, and the economy. The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader and mentor, and will be able to effectively collaborate with partners and stakeholders to achieve conservation objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to USDA Forest Service staff in the region.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and sustain natural resources.
