Job Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is seeking an experienced, motivated, and creative Natural Resource Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in leading, planning, and implementing natural resource management activities. We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of natural resources, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. If you are enthusiastic about making a real difference in our natural resources and the environment, this is the job for you!To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field. A Master's degree and/or advanced certifications are preferred. You must also have a minimum of 5 years of experience in natural resource management, preferably in a government or non-profit setting. Additionally, you should have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to lead teams, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, plan, and implement natural resource management activities.
  2. Develop natural resource management strategies and policies.
  3. Monitor, assess, and report on natural resource management projects.
  4. Work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of natural resource management initiatives.
  5. Analyze data and develop action plans to address natural resource issues.
  6. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  8. Develop and maintain documents and records related to natural resource management activities.
  9. Assist in the development of grants and other funding sources related to natural resource management.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations and agencies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Natural Resources Or Related Field

  • At Least Five Years Of Professional Experience In Natural Resource Management

  • Knowledge Of Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Natural Resources

  • Knowledge Of Geographic Information Systems (Gis) And Remote Sensing Techniques
