
Forest Products Resource Specialist
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Forest Products Resource Specialist to join the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Forest Products Resource Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance on forestry and lumber processing topics to industry and stakeholders. This position requires a strong understanding of forest products and lumber processing operations, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and collaboratively. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping the forestry and lumber processing industries and is committed to the mission of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in forestry or a related field, a minimum of two years of experience in the forest products industry, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of lumber processing operations and familiarity with wood products and related technology is also desirable.
Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of forest products and lumber processing operations.
- Effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders.

- Maintain knowledge of lumber processing operations and familiarity with wood products and related technology.
