Job Description

At U.S. Bank Corp, we are looking for a driven and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Workday Financial & Data Management Product Owner. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of our Workday financial and data systems, ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency in supporting critical business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and data analysis, as well as experience working with Workday software.   1. Oversee the management and optimization of Workday financial and data systems to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency in supporting critical business operations.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into system requirements.
  3. Serve as the subject matter expert for all Workday financial and data management related issues and provide guidance and support to end users.
  4. Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of Workday systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance functionality.
  5. Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides, training materials, and policies and procedures.
  6. Lead testing and troubleshooting efforts to address any system issues or bugs.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to Workday financial and data management, and make recommendations for system enhancements or upgrades.
  8. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the integration and compatibility of Workday systems with other key business systems.
  9. Train and mentor team members on Workday financial and data management processes and systems.
  10. Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues related to Workday systems, and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  11. Drive innovation and process improvements to optimize the use of Workday systems and enhance overall business operations.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Understanding Of Workday Financials: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Knowledge And Hands-On Experience With Workday Financials, Including Its Various Modules Such As General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, And Cash Management.

  • Experience In Data Management: The Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Data Management Principles And Techniques, Including Data Governance, Data Analysis, And Data Integration. Experience With Tools Such As Etl, Sql, And Data Visualization Software Is Also Preferred.

  • Project Management Skills: As A Product Owner, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing Projects Related To Workday Financials And Data Management. Therefore, Strong Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Manage Timelines, And Communicate Effectively, Are Essential.

  • Financial Expertise: A Solid Understanding Of Financial Concepts, Accounting Principles, And Financial Reporting Is Crucial For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Collaborate With Finance Teams And Other Stakeholders To Analyze Financial Data And Provide Insights For Decision Making.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Job Of A Workday Financial & Data Management Product Owner Requires Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Business Analysts, Developers, And End-Users. Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Necessary To Ensure Effective Communication And Alignment Among All Stakeholders.
