- Design and implement mainframe automation solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our mainframe systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
- Maintain and enhance existing mainframe automation processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to mainframe automation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mainframe automation technology.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to mainframe automation processes and procedures.
- Train and mentor junior team members on mainframe automation best practices.
- Work closely with vendors to evaluate and implement new mainframe automation tools and technologies.

Extensive Experience With Mainframe Automation Tools: A Senior Systems Engineer At U.s. Bank Corp. Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Mainframe Automation Tools Such As Ca Endevor, Bmc Control-M, And Ibm Tivoli Workload Scheduler. They Should Possess The Ability To Design, Implement, And Maintain Automated Processes To Improve Efficiency And Reduce Errors.
Strong Knowledge Of Mainframe Operating Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Mainframe Operating Systems Such As Z/Os, Z/Vm, And Z/Vse. They Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues Related To These Systems And Have Experience Working With Mainframe Hardware Components.
Proficiency In Scripting And Programming Languages: A Senior Systems Engineer Should Have A Strong Background In Scripting And Programming Languages Such As Jcl, Rexx, And Cobol. They Should Be Able To Develop And Maintain Scripts To Automate Routine Tasks And Customize Existing Automation Tools To Meet Specific Business Needs.
Project Management Skills: As A Senior Systems Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading Complex Projects Related To Mainframe Automation. They Should Have Excellent Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Plan, Organize, And Execute Projects Within Deadlines And Budget Constraints.
