Job Description

U.S. Bank Corp is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mutual Fund Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and knowledge of mutual fund accounting and financial reporting. Our successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and take initiative. Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of mutual fund transactions and account activity.
  2. Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations for mutual fund accounts.
  3. Analyze and reconcile complex mutual fund transactions.
  4. Monitor daily cash flow and report any discrepancies to management.
  5. Review and approve mutual fund trades.
  6. Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding mutual fund accounts.
  7. Work closely with other departments to ensure the accuracy of mutual fund accounts.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations and industry standards.
  9. Develop and recommend changes to current procedures and protocols as needed.
  10. Liaise with auditors and other financial professionals as necessary.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite

  • Finance Or Related Field

  • Bachelor’s Degree In Accounting

  • + Years Of Related Accounting Experience In The Investment Or Mutual Fund Industry

  • Strong Knowledge Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And Financial Accounting Standards Board (Fasb) Regulations

  • Especially Excel

  • Experience With Mutual Fund Accounting Systems

  • Ability To Accurately Interpret And Prepare Financial
