Mutual Fund Accountant

U.S. Bank Corp is looking for an experienced Mutual Fund Accountant to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. We are looking for an individual who is knowledgeable, detail-oriented and able to provide accurate and timely support to our Mutual Fund Accounting team. The successful candidate must have a passion for the financial markets and have a solid understanding of mutual fund accounting principles. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services industry. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial reports for mutual fund accounts.
2. Utilize financial software applications to process and analyze mutual fund transactions.
3. Monitor and reconcile mutual fund accounts on a daily basis.
4. Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding mutual fund accounts.
5. Liaise with other departments in the organization to ensure accuracy of mutual fund account information.
6. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
7. Identify and recommend process improvements in the mutual fund accounting process.
8. Participate in the preparation and review of mutual fund portfolios.
9. Assist with the preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
10. Train and mentor junior staff members on mutual fund accounting principles and procedures.
