We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Truck Shop Mechanic for our A- Shift Full-Time position at our truck shop facility. As a Truck Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks to ensure they are in top operating condition. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for mechanics.   1. Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on trucks in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with trucks and make necessary repairs.
  3. Conduct regular inspections to ensure trucks are in compliance with safety regulations.
  4. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on trucks.
  5. Order and maintain inventory of necessary truck parts and supplies.
  6. Communicate with truck drivers and other team members to gather information on truck issues and repairs.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to company cleanliness standards.
  9. Continuously seek out ways to improve truck maintenance and repair processes.
  10. Assist with training and mentoring new mechanics as needed.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operation of the truck fleet.
  13. Maintain a positive attitude and foster a team-oriented work environment.
  14. Attend training sessions and workshops to stay current on industry developments and advancements.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent - To Be Considered For This Position, Applicants Should Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge That Is Necessary For A Truck Shop Mechanic.

  • Previous Experience In Diesel Engine Repair - Candidates Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Diesel Engine Repair. This Includes Diagnosing And Repairing Issues, As Well As Performing Routine Maintenance Tasks.

  • Knowledge Of Truck And Trailer Systems - A Strong Understanding Of Truck And Trailer Systems Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Engines, Transmissions, Braking Systems, And Electrical Systems.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals - As A Truck Shop Mechanic, It Is Important To Be Able To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals For Different Types Of Trucks And Trailers. This Will Aid In Diagnosing And Repairing Issues.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills - A Truck Shop Mechanic Should Be Able To Think Critically And Quickly To Troubleshoot And Solve Complex Problems. This Requires Strong Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure.
