As a Tire Bay Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing tires on our fleet of trucks and trailers.   1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tires for trucks and trailers in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  2. Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation levels, and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
  3. Mount, balance, and rotate tires using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  4. Keep accurate records of all tire repairs and replacements.
  5. Monitor tire inventory levels and order new tires as needed.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized tire bay area.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  8. Communicate effectively with fellow technicians and other team members to coordinate repairs and prioritize tasks.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current industry trends and techniques related to tire maintenance and repair.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to workplace safety and quality control.
  11. Proactively identify and report any potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
  12. Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  13. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  15. Attend and actively participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required For This Position. This Shows The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Understand Instructions And Safety Protocols.

  • Technical Knowledge And Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Tire Bay Maintenance And Repair, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of Tire Types, Sizes, And Tread Patterns. This Knowledge Is Essential For Performing The Job Effectively And Safely.

  • Physical Fitness And Strength: This Position Requires Physical Activity Such As Lifting, Bending, And Standing For Long Periods. The Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift Heavy Objects (Up To 50 Lbs) On A Regular Basis.

  • Attention To Detail: A Tire Bay Technician Needs To Be Detail-Oriented To Accurately Diagnose And Repair Tire Issues. This Includes Identifying Tread Wear Patterns, Checking Tire Pressure, And Properly Aligning Tires. A Keen Eye For Detail Can Prevent Potential Accidents And Ensure Customer Satisfaction.

  • Teamwork And Communication Skills: Working In A Tire Bay Requires Collaboration With Other Technicians And The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Customers. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Teamwork Skills And Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally With Both Coworkers And Clients.
