  1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  3. Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels of the organization.
  4. Investigate and analyze accidents, injuries, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  6. Monitor and track safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  8. Serve as a resource for employees and management on safety and environmental matters.
  9. Participate in safety committee meetings and provide recommendations for improving safety culture.
  10. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  12. Lead incident investigations and work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective actions.
  13. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes.
  14. Develop and implement safety and environmental training programs for employees.
  15. Promote a culture of safety by encouraging employee involvement and engagement in safety initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety And Health, Environmental Science, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Safety Role, Preferably In The Food Industry

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Osh Regulations, As Well As Industry Standards And Best Practices

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Procedures

  • Certification In Osha 30-Hour Or Equivalent Training, As Well As Other Relevant Safety Certifications (E.g. Csp, Cih)
