- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for complex facilities in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive safety training program for employees.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Investigate and report on any safety incidents or near misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of safety professionals and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Communicate with management and employees on safety-related matters, including providing regular updates and reports.
- Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to stay informed on industry best practices and emerging safety trends.
- Continuously identify and implement innovative strategies to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Develop emergency preparedness plans and procedures to ensure the safety of employees and minimize potential risks.
- Manage the safety budget and make recommendations for necessary resources and equipment.
- Conduct regular meetings with complex leadership to discuss safety-related matters and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in safety technology and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies during safety inspections and audits.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Industrial Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Managing Safety Programs In A Complex Industrial Environment, Preferably In The Food Industry.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Osha Regulations, Industry Standards, And Best Practices Related To Safety And Health.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience In Managing A Team Of Safety Professionals.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Drive Safety Initiatives And Ensure Compliance.
