  1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  2. Respond to maintenance calls and troubleshoot any issues with equipment in a timely manner.
  3. Repair and replace malfunctioning or damaged equipment parts.
  4. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  5. Collaborate with production and quality control teams to identify and address any equipment issues that may affect product quality.
  6. Communicate with team members and supervisors to keep them informed of maintenance progress and any potential delays.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  8. Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and protocols.
  9. Source and order necessary parts and materials for equipment repairs.
  10. Continuously monitor equipment performance and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
  11. Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to share knowledge and support each other's work.
  12. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in maintenance technology.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  14. Comply with company policies and procedures at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Technical Knowledge And Experience: A Maintenance Technician B Shift At Tyson Foods Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Mechanical And Electrical Systems, As Well As Experience In Troubleshooting And Repairing Equipment.

  • Maintenance Experience: Previous Experience In A Maintenance Role, Particularly In A Food Processing Or Manufacturing Environment, Is A Key Qualification For This Position. This Includes Experience With Preventive Maintenance, Repairs, And Equipment Installation.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: The Role Of A Maintenance Technician B Shift At Tyson Foods Requires Working With Potentially Hazardous Equipment. As Such, Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Procedures And Be Able To Adhere To Them At All Times.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The B Shift At Tyson Foods Typically Runs During Evenings And Overnight, And The Maintenance Technician Will Be Expected To Work Efficiently And Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment To Minimize Downtime And Keep Production Running Smoothly.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: A Maintenance Technician B Shift Must Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Mechanical And Electrical Issues, Often Under Time Constraints. Candidates Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills And Be Able To Think Creatively To Find Solutions To Equipment Issues.
