- Utilize laboratory techniques and equipment to perform accurate and timely tests.
- Analyze and interpret test results, and report findings to management.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure proper functioning and availability.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency of test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve any issues related to food safety.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements related to microbiology and food safety.
- Train and mentor junior microbiologists and laboratory technicians.
- Maintain records and documentation of all laboratory activities and results.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance with microbiological standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of microbiological testing.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in the laboratory.
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with external agencies and authorities as needed.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical expertise to other departments within the company.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Microbiology Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In The Food Industry.
Proficient In Aseptic Techniques, Microbial Isolation And Identification Methods, And Data Analysis.
Strong Understanding Of Good Laboratory Practices (Glp) And Quality Assurance/Quality Control (Qa/Qc) Procedures.
Experience With Food Safety And Regulatory Compliance, Including Knowledge Of Fda And Usda Regulations.
