Job Description

  1. Conduct microbiological testing: Perform routine and specialized tests to assess the microbiological safety and quality of food products.
  2. Monitor and maintain lab equipment: Ensure lab equipment is properly calibrated and maintained to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  3. Analyze and interpret data: Analyze test results and interpret data to identify potential food safety and quality issues.
  4. Identify and troubleshoot issues: Identify and troubleshoot any issues with lab equipment or test results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  5. Develop and implement protocols: Develop and implement protocols to improve food safety and quality testing procedures.
  6. Adhere to safety standards: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  7. Document and report findings: Accurately document and report test results and findings to management and other relevant parties.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with other departments such as production, quality assurance, and research and development to ensure food safety and quality goals are met.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends: Keep up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to food safety and microbiology.
  10. Train and mentor lab technicians: Train and mentor lab technicians to ensure proper procedures and techniques are followed and provide guidance as needed.
  11. Participate in audits and inspections: Assist with internal and external audits and inspections related to food safety and quality.
  12. Continuously improve processes: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Keep the lab area clean, organized, and free of potential hazards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures: Follow all company policies and procedures related to food safety, quality, and lab operations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Microbiology, Biology, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In The Food Industry.

  • Knowledge And Experience With Various Microbiological Testing Methods, Including Pcr, Elisa, And Plating Techniques.

  • Familiarity With Good Laboratory Practices (Glp) And Good Manufacturing Practices (Gmp).

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret And Analyze Complex Data.
