
HATCHERY WORKER - 1ST AND 3RD SHIFTS

- Maintain hatchery equipment and facilities: The Hatchery Worker will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities in the hatchery are clean, functional, and well-maintained. This includes regular cleaning, sanitization, and reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor and adjust incubation conditions: The Hatchery Worker will be responsible for monitoring and adjusting the temperature, humidity, and ventilation levels in the incubators to ensure optimal conditions for the eggs to hatch.
- Egg handling and quality control: The Hatchery Worker will be responsible for carefully handling and inspecting eggs to ensure they meet quality and safety standards before they are placed in the incubators.
- Assist with egg transfers and chick placement: The Hatchery Worker will assist with transferring eggs from the incubators to the hatching trays and placing chicks in appropriate housing. This requires attention to detail and following proper procedures to ensure the health and well-being of the chicks.
- Maintain accurate records: The Hatchery Worker will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of egg and chick counts, incubation conditions, and any issues or incidents that occur in the hatchery. These records are crucial for quality control and tracking production.
- Follow safety and sanitation protocols: The Hatchery Worker will adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and clean working environment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following proper hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with team members: The Hatchery Worker will work closely with other members of the hatchery team, including hatchery supervisors and other workers, to ensure efficient and effective production processes.

Physical Stamina: This Position Requires Standing For Long Periods Of Time, Lifting Up To 50 Pounds, And Performing Repetitive Tasks. Therefore, Physical Stamina And The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment Are Important Qualifications For This Job.
Attention To Detail: A Hatchery Worker Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That Eggs Are Properly Sorted, Incubated, And Hatched. This Includes Monitoring Temperature And Humidity Levels, Identifying And Addressing Any Issues With Equipment, And Accurately Recording Data.
