As a Livestock Handler, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations by ensuring the safe and humane handling of our livestock.   1. Safely and humanely handle livestock on a daily basis.
  2. Ensure the well-being and welfare of all animals in our care.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and accidents.
  5. Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Communicate any issues or concerns with livestock to the appropriate supervisor.
  7. Follow all company and regulatory guidelines for handling livestock.
  8. Monitor and maintain proper feeding and watering schedules for the animals.
  9. Assist with loading and unloading of livestock for transportation.
  10. Maintain accurate records of livestock movements and activities.
  11. Report any health or behavioral concerns of the animals to the appropriate personnel.
  12. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  13. Continuously strive to improve and optimize processes for handling livestock.
  14. Attend training and meetings as required by the company.
  15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  16. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
  17. Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and guests.
  18. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous Experience Working With Livestock: A B-Shift Livestock Handler At Tyson Foods Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Livestock Handling Techniques And Be Able To Work Confidently With Animals. Previous Experience Working With Livestock, Such As On A Farm Or In A Similar Role, Is Highly Preferred.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Job Requires A Significant Amount Of Physical Labor, Including Lifting, Carrying, And Moving Livestock. Therefore, Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Have The Stamina To Withstand Long Hours Of Work On Their Feet.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: Working With Livestock Can Be Dangerous, So It Is Crucial For A B-Shift Livestock Handler To Have A Good Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Procedures. This Includes Proper Animal Handling Techniques, As Well As Knowledge Of Safety Equipment And Emergency Procedures.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Tyson Foods Is A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Workplace, And The B-Shift Livestock Handler Role Is No Exception. Candidates Should Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment, As Well As Multitask And Prioritize Tasks As Needed.

  • Communication Skills: As A B-Shift Livestock Handler, You Will Be Working With A Team Of Other Handlers And Various Departments Within Tyson Foods.
