Job Description

  1. Design, develop, and implement automated processes to improve efficiency and quality in production.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with automation equipment.
  3. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on automation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation and implement solutions.
  5. Continuously monitor and analyze data from automation systems to identify areas for improvement.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation for all automation processes and procedures.
  7. Train and educate team members on the use and maintenance of automation equipment.
  8. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in automation technology.
  9. Identify and implement cost-saving measures through automation.
  10. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while working with automation equipment.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on automation projects and processes.
  12. Participate in meetings and discussions to provide input and suggestions for process improvements.
  13. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source necessary parts and equipment for automation systems.
  14. Adhere to production schedules and deadlines while ensuring the highest level of quality.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all company policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Automation Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Automation Systems, Including Programmable Logic Controllers (Plcs), Human-Machine Interfaces (Hmis), And Other Types Of Industrial Control Systems. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Troubleshooting And Maintaining Automated Equipment.

  • Electrical And Mechanical Skills: Automation Technicians Must Have A Solid Foundation In Both Electrical And Mechanical Engineering Principles. They Should Be Able To Read And Interpret Electrical And Mechanical Schematics, Troubleshoot And Repair Equipment, And Perform Preventative Maintenance Tasks.

  • Experience With Food Processing Equipment: Tyson Foods Is A Leading Producer Of Food Products, So Experience With Food Processing Equipment Is Highly Desirable. Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of Food Safety Regulations And Be Able To Ensure That Automated Systems Are Operating In Compliance With These Regulations.

  • Attention To Detail: Automation Technicians Must Be Detail-Oriented And Have A Strong Focus On Quality Control. They Are Responsible For Conducting Regular Checks And Inspections To Ensure That All Automated Systems Are Functioning Properly And Meeting Production Standards.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: An Automation Technician Must Be A Skilled Problem-Solver, Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Issues That Arise With Automated Systems. They Must Be Able To Think Critically And Creatively To Determine The Root Cause Of Problems And Develop Effective Solutions.
