- Monitor and control access to the facility during the overnight shift.
- Check and record all incoming and outgoing vehicles to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all vehicles entering and leaving the facility.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with drivers and other team members.
- Provide excellent customer service to all drivers, answering any questions or concerns they may have.
- Report any suspicious or unauthorized activities to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including the gatehouse and surrounding areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Collaborate with other gate attendants and team members to ensure smooth operations and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Attend and actively participate in all required training sessions and meetings.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Be reliable and punctual, arriving on time for scheduled shifts.
- Proactively identify and report any issues or malfunctions with gate equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Previous Experience In A Security Or Gate Attendant Role: This Position Requires Individuals Who Are Familiar With Monitoring And Controlling Access To A Facility, And Previous Experience In A Similar Role Can Help Ensure A Smooth Transition Into The Job.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Gate Attendant, It Is Crucial To Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Truck Drivers And Other Employees Entering And Exiting The Facility. Additionally, Strong Interpersonal Skills Can Help Resolve Conflicts And Maintain A Professional Demeanor.
Ability To Work Independently: The 3Rd Shift Gate Attendant Will Likely Be The Only Employee On Duty During Their Shift, So It Is Essential To Be Self-Motivated And Able To Work Independently Without Constant Supervision.
Attention To Detail And Ability To Follow Procedures: As A Gate Attendant, You Will Be Responsible For Verifying Paperwork, Checking Identification, And Ensuring All Trucks Entering The Facility Meet Safety And Security Standards. Attention To Detail And The Ability To Follow Strict Procedures Is Crucial In This Role.
Familiarity With Security Protocols And Basic Computer Skills: This Position May Require The Use Of Security Cameras, Computerized Gate Systems, And Other Technology To Monitor And Record Activity At The Gate.
