- Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy for our cloud infrastructure, in alignment with our overall company goals and objectives.
- Lead a team of security professionals to continuously monitor and assess the security of our applications and cloud systems, identifying and mitigating potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry standards and best practices in application and cloud security, and proactively make recommendations for improvements to our systems and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and legal, to ensure that security is integrated into all stages of the development process.
- Conduct regular audits and penetration testing to identify potential security gaps and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and partners, ensuring that they meet our security standards and requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for any security incidents or breaches, leading the response and remediation efforts.
- Communicate and report on security risks and concerns to senior leadership, providing recommendations and action plans for mitigation.
- Educate and train employees on security protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of security awareness and responsibility throughout the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and improve our security posture, taking a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential threats.
Extensive Knowledge Of Application Security Best Practices: A Director Of Application And Cloud Security At Twilio Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Latest Security Trends, Threats, And Vulnerabilities In The Application And Cloud Space. They Should Also Be Well-Versed In Industry Standards Such As Owasp, Sans, And Nist.
Proven Experience In Cloud Security: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Designing, Implementing, And Managing Cloud Security Solutions. This Should Include Expertise In Cloud Security Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, And Gcp.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Security Professionals. Therefore, They Should Have Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, And Leadership Skills To Effectively Guide, Motivate And Collaborate With Team Members.
Experience With Application Security Testing And Tools: The Director Of Application And Cloud Security Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Application Security Testing Techniques And Tools Such As Static Code Analysis, Dynamic Application Security Testing, And Penetration Testing. They Should Also Be Familiar With Security Tools Such As Burp Suite, Veracode, And Checkmarx.
Relevant Certifications: To Be Considered For This Role, Candidates Should Possess Relevant Certifications Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Csslp. Additional Certifications In Cloud Security Such As Aws Certified Security - Specialty Or Azure Security Engineer Associate Would Be A Plus. These Certifications Demonstrate A Strong Commitment To Continuous Learning And Staying Updated With The Latest Security Practices.
