- Design and implement data models to support business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and requirements
- Lead the development and maintenance of data architecture standards and best practices
- Identify and recommend new technologies and techniques for data management and analysis
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries and data lineage documentation
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot data issues and provide timely resolutions
- Mentor and guide junior data team members in data modelling and architecture principles
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data architecture and modelling
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to data management and analysis.
Extensive Experience In Data Modeling: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Data Modeling, With A Strong Understanding Of Both Conceptual And Logical Data Models. They Should Also Have Experience In Translating Business Requirements Into Effective Data Models.
Proficiency In Database Design: A Senior Data Architect/Data Modeller At Tripadvisor Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Database Design Principles And Best Practices. They Should Be Well-Versed In Relational Database Management Systems (Rdbms) And Have Experience With Data Warehousing.
Expertise In Data Integration: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Data Integration, Including Experience In Etl (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes, Data Mapping, And Data Migration. They Should Also Have Experience With Data Governance And Data Quality Management.
Technical Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background, With Proficiency In Sql, Data Modeling Tools (E.g. Erwin, Erstudio), And Data Visualization Tools (E.g. Tableau, Power Bi). Experience With Cloud Computing Platforms Such As Aws Or Azure Is Also Desirable.
Leadership And Communication Skills: A Senior Data Architect/Data Modeller Should Have Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Lead Data Modeling Projects, And Communicate Complex Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders. Experience In Mentoring And Coaching Junior Team Members Is Also A Plus.
