  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue recognition strategy for the entire organization, taking into account current and future business goals and objectives.
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, including ASC 606.
  3. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the revenue recognition team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to team members.
  4. Review and approve revenue recognition policies and procedures, ensuring they align with company goals and best practices.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and legal, to ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue.
  6. Continuously monitor and analyze revenue recognition processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  7. Provide guidance and training to team members and other stakeholders on revenue recognition principles and practices.
  8. Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue recognition matters, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  9. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of revenue recognition data to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  10. Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations related to revenue recognition, and proactively communicate any potential impacts to the organization.
  11. Represent the company in external audits related to revenue recognition, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
  12. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the revenue recognition team, promoting efficiency and effectiveness in processes and systems.
  13. Act as a liaison between the revenue recognition team and other departments, fostering strong working relationships and effective communication.
  14. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement key performance indicators and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of revenue recognition processes.
