Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate freight rates in our billing system, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits of freight bills to identify any discrepancies or errors in rates.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and accounting, to resolve any rate-related issues and ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Act as the primary point of contact for rate inquiries and escalations, providing prompt and professional responses to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and approve new rate requests from carriers, ensuring they meet company guidelines and negotiating rates when necessary.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulations related to freight rates, and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all rate-related activities and communicate updates to relevant teams.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members on rate management processes and systems.
- Collaborate with IT and other teams to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to rate maintenance.
- Continuously analyze and improve existing processes to increase efficiency and accuracy in rate management.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve overall departmental performance.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to privacy, security, and compliance.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Freight Auditing Or Rate Maintenance In The Transportation Industry.
Proficient In Microsoft Excel And Experience With Transportation Management Systems (Tms).
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills With Attention To Detail.
Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams.
